Have you heard of the Law Of Attraction? Have you heard of the term, change your vibes, change your life?

I have been studying the Law of Attraction for almost a year now. I am also involved in a group that is learning how to change our perception. I am learning that my 'ego' is getting in the way of my success. I am learning that I can have everything I want. I can have a successful career, lifestyle, relationship, healthy body and mind. I am learning forgiveness and love, and the effects each has on my life.

My interest in these things has led me to realize that if I had learned these things as a child, or young adult, my life would have been very different and a lot easier. I would already be where I am going. For this reason, I would like to encourage you to start teaching your children that life isn't difficult. Life is wonderful. Filled with love and opportunities. It is okay if someone thinks differently than you. It is okay to reach out and show love to someone who is hurting. It is healthier to observe and release negative feelings, than to cling to them.

This is a concept that can change your child's life in such a positive way. Most adults hold on to things that really don't matter, and in doing so, experience negative feelings (or vibrations). Let's teach our children how to live a happy life. How to observe, and release. How to forgive, and love.

Let's open a different world to them by simply letting go of the negative, and staying in the positive!

Peace, Love & Light,
Yolanda

Kid Games

What games do you remember playing when you were young?

I can remember playing hide and seek with the neighborhood children. Often times in the evening. There must have been a dozen kids all gathered across the street from our home. Each of us taking turns being the seeker, or trying desperately to find a hiding place before we heard "ready or not, here I come!"

How about playing Marco Polo in the pool, or outside? That was a favorite. When we played outside, we had a perimeter that we had to stay in. Having the caller reaching out and almost touching us, as we tried like crazy to be quiet as they came closer and closer. Then hearing the dreaded word "Marco" to which we had to respond "Polo". Only to be caught!

Then there was Kick the Can. Oh yes, hopefully being able to run faster than the other person, and  kick the can. When hiding, trying not to be found before we were able to run, and all out just having fun!

Red Light, Green Light. Was one which anyone could play. If you were good at stopping your forward motion when "Red Light" was called, and you could touch the caller, you were a winner. Or, maybe getting a bit too excited and almost being able to touch the caller, only to hear "Red Light" and get caught moving! Oh well, guess it's back to the start line.

Tag. We all know how that worked. The fastest person was rarely tagged, and the slowest person was usually it!

Dodge Ball. Fun and fast moving. This one could hurt if the thrower was strong, but if you were a good jumper, or good at dodging, a lot of those balls would go past you!

Hop Scotch! There was a great game indeed.

Red Rover, Red Rover. Breaking through the human barrier was the name of the game.

Ahh, the joys of being a child and having the luxury of playing outdoors!

Being a writer

What does it really mean to be a writer? I have heard it said that everyone has a book in them.
A year ago, I might have argued that, but I have come to realize that everyone has potential to become a writer.

I started writing children's books because I love reading books to my grandchildren. I could see the brightness in their eyes as the story evolved. And as they got older and could actually start reading the stories themselves, it made them happy.

Reading to children is one of the best things anyone could do. I hope to inspire parents to read to their children as much as possible. I also want to inspire children to write their own stories.

I have written two books, and I am currently working on teaching the Law of Attraction to younger individuals. I have personally used this in my life, and have seen my desires manifest. If I can change the life of one child, I will have accomplished what I have set out to do.

It is my belief that everyone has the power within themselves to live a happy, fulfilled life. Filled with abundance, love, honor, and value.
